How long does instrument calibration take at Hoskin Scientific?

Standard calibration turnaround is 7-10 business days from receipt, with rush service available for time-critical projects. We provide ISO 17025 NIST-traceable calibrations on most common environmental, geotechnical, and instrumentation equipment from our Canadian service centres.

How do I send an instrument in for repair or calibration?

Contact your nearest Hoskin Scientific office (Coquitlam, Oakville, Montreal, Edmonton) or our support team at sales@hoskin.ca to request an RMA number. Ship the instrument with the RMA reference and a description of any faults. We confirm receipt within one business day and provide a written quote before starting work.

What is the warranty on equipment purchased from Hoskin Scientific?

Manufacturer warranties vary by product (typically 1-3 years on most instruments) and are honoured through Hoskin Scientific as the authorised Canadian distributor. We handle warranty claims, including troubleshooting, RMA processing, and replacement parts, directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Where in Canada do you provide service and calibration?

We operate four service centres across Canada: Coquitlam (BC), Oakville (ON), Montreal / Lachine (QC), and Edmonton (AB), with coverage from Pacific to Atlantic regions. Each centre is factory-trained on the major instrument lines and equipped to handle most service requests in-house.

Do you offer on-site instrument service and installation?

Yes. Our factory-trained technicians provide on-site installation, commissioning, calibration, and repair across Canada. On-site work is scoped against the equipment type, complexity, and travel distance — request a quote through our support form for a specific job.

How do I get technical support for an instrument I already own?

Email sales@hoskin.ca or call your nearest Hoskin Scientific office. Our application specialists can answer setup, configuration, calibration, and troubleshooting questions on most equipment sold through Hoskin Scientific or its authorised manufacturers.
